A longtime White Rock business will close its doors next month after 39 years.
According to a notice distributed last week, the last day for Laura's Fashion Fabrics, located at 1552 Johnston Rd., is set for March 31.
In the notice, titled 'Life doesn't always go as planned…' distributed last week, owner Laura Shaw said while efforts had been underway to move the store to a new location, it "just isn't working."
"As hard as we tried to push it forward and make it happen, those little voices were shouting 'this isn't a good decision,'" she writes.
In addition to selling everything in the store, Shaw said she is planning a pre-closing party.
