White Rock, Surrey companies win homebuilding awards

A White Rock homebuilder and a design firm, as a duo, combined to win eight Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) awards last weekend in Vancouver.

Among the eight wins, Forge Properties and Form Creative’s biggest was the Grand HAVAN Multi-Family Home of the Year. Other awards included Best Multi-Family Condominium Unit (800 square feet and over); Best New Kitchen: Multi-Family Production Home; Best Primary Suite: Multi-Family Production Home; Best Interior Design Display Suite: Multi-Family Home; Best Outdoor Living Space: Single-Family Production or Multi-Family Home; Best Multi-Family Midrise Development; and Best Multi-Family Amenity Space.

Delta’s Sarah Gallop Design Inc. won five awards, including Grand HAVAN Interior Designer of the Year, while a pair of Langley companies, Vesta Properties and Infinity Properties, won six and four awards, respectively.

Surrey’s Novak Contracting and Construction also won an award, for best kitchen renovation under $75,000, while White Rock’s Clay Construction, in partnership with Sarah Gallop Design, took home the award for best bathroom renovation under $50,000. Surrey’s Miracon Development Inc. also picked up one award, for best townhouse/rowhouse under 1,500 square feet.

In total, 61 awards were handed out. The awards were announced Saturday, April 30 at the JW Marriott Parq Hotel in Vancouver.
