After a long, cold winter, it appears that the world around us is starting to open up again.
The plum trees are in full bloom, and the cherry blossoms are showing their beautiful pink colours.
This means that Easter is just around the corner, and the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary Society is looking forward to one of our well-loved fundraisers.
Come join our second Annual Virtual Bunny Hop. This will be held April 15-18.
This is the perfect opportunity for your family, friends and neighbours to have fun while raising funds to help with the purchase of medical equipment requested by the medical staff at Peace Arch Hospital.
The Bunny Hop is a virtual event, which means that you can exercise in your own space. Why not hop on your bike and ride through your neighbourhood, or walk the promenade at the beach? You can form a running group and lay out a course of your own liking.
To start, go to our website at www.pahas.ca and click on “Virtual Bunny Hop.”
You will be able to create a page as an individual or as a team. Ask your family and friends to sponsor you and make a donation to your page.
Participant packages will be available for pick-up on Friday, April 15, at the Centre for Active Living parking lot.
Have great fun with this, as prizes will be given for most money raised by a team, and/or by an individual, best team name and best costume photo posted online with #pahasbunnyhop.
Speaking of Easter, our own Superfluity Shop located at 15163 Prospect Ave. is holding an “Eggstravaganza” on Saturday, April 16. Pick an egg at time of purchase and win anywhere between 10-50 per cent off your purchase!
The Superfluity Shop is a fun place to browse. Don’t forget they are always happy to receive your gently used donations of adult clothing, home décor and vintage items.
Our Gift Shop in the hospital lobby is still operating on restricted hours of Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. As we have more visitors passing through the hospital now, our inventory has increased with some exciting items. Stop by and check us out.
Looking forward to Mother’s Day, our Aquarius Group will be selling Cactus Club $100 gift cards to help raise funds for medical equipment and patient comfort at our hospital.
Please call Lyn at 604-535-1772 or Ginny at 778-294-8859
