With Easter just around the corner, Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary Society is gearing up for its annual Bunny Hop fundraiser.
Set for 10:30 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. on Good Friday (March 29) at Memorial Park (next to White Rock Museum & Archives, 14970 Marine Dr.), the 4th annual event is all about staying active while supporting the society, whose efforts benefit Peace Arch Hospital.
“This year’s gathering promises fun, fitness, and community spirit with a series of Bunny Hop Routes for all ages and abilities,” states information at paha.ca/events
Korki the Klown will be on hand – with balloon bunny bracelets – to greet participants, who can choose to “hop” along a route of one, two or five kilometres.

While the Hop officially begins at 11 a.m., registration and package pickup will continue till noon.
Participant packages will include bunny ears, a granola bar, mini eggs, bottled water and more, “to keep the energy high and spirits lifted.”
Cost to register is $5 for those younger than 13; and $10 for everyone else. Participation medals and red auxiliary bags will also be available for purchase, for $5 and $1, respectively.
The event is described as a “crucial opportunity” to support the hospital. All proceeds benefit patient-care programs, equipment purchases, building expansions and renovations.
