CARP to host Surrey Mayor

Dianne Watts set to speak at organization's luncheon April 11

Persistence has paid off for members of the local CARP – A New Vision of Aging for Canada chapter, who will welcome Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts as their guest speaker this week.

The White Rock/Surrey group has had Watts on their wish list for two years. She is to join them at Sabatino’s Trattoria in South Surrey (15355 24 Ave.) on April 11 as part of CARP’S My Life series, speaking “about the challenges she has faced in her life and her experiences as the mayor of one of Canada’s fastest-growing cities.”

Cost to attend the morning event is $10. Seating is limited and the deadline to RSVP is April 9. To reserve a spot, call Denice at 604-538-5778 or Ramona at 778-294-0787.
