CARP will raise a flag to celebrate and recognize National Seniors Day in Canada and the United Nations International Day of Older Persons on Oct. 1.
The community is invited to the flag raising at White Rock City Hall, 15322 Buena Vista Ave., at 9 a.m.
The national day focuses on celebrating and recognizing the contributions made by seniors to better their communities and was instituted by the federal government in 2011.
