Have you visited our Superfluity Thrift Shop recently? If not, your chance is coming up.

On Friday, Nov. 25, the shop is holding a “Black Friday” event from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

You will find women’s and men’s clothing, lingerie, scarves, hats and gloves at an amazing 50 per cent off.

There will also be door prizes, hot chocolate and goodies for your enjoyment.

We are a thrift shop “with purpose” – raising funds to purchase medical equipment for our Peace Arch Hospital.

Come on in to browse and say hi. We’re at 15163 Prospect Ave. in White Rock.

The Auxiliary would like to acknowledge the late Leona Robb, whose legacy lives on at our Superfluity shop. Recently, our store manager, Sandy Lucas met Leona and Doug’s daughter, Heather, when she donated over 200 pairs of shoes.

Doug and Leona Robb owned the iconic Elegante Shoes in White Rock for 36 years. Heather is here from Florida with the difficult task of sorting her mother’s cherished belongings.

This can be a very daunting job, and Sandy offered the shop’s service of helping the family with this effort, which can be very emotional.

The Robb family continues Leona’s legacy of kindness and generosity with the donation of Leona’s personal items including shoes, handbags, costume jewelry and beautiful clothing.

Along with the Robb family, we invite old and new friends and customers to the Superfluity Thrift Shop to continue Leona’s legacy of giving back to the community. It brings the family peace to know the money from their generous donation will allow the Auxiliary to purchase valuable medical equipment for Peace Arch Hospital.

The Auxiliary is holding our third annual Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraising campaign. Go to our website at www.pahas.ca to place your orders which must be in by Nov. 21.

Good News! Our hospital Gift Shop is still open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is now open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please come in and check out our exciting new items. Remember to report to the reception desk and to wear a mask.

Our Auxiliary is once again selling gift cards for Meridian Meats, just in time for your holiday shopping and gift giving. Cards are available in $50 and $100 denominations. Orders must be in on or before Dec 10. Please email Kathy for more information or to place your order at kathymcintyre@gmail.com

A very busy season is coming up. Please consider volunteering your spare time by joining our active organization. Check out our website at pahas.ca
