More than two dozen people took advantage of the warm weatherlast week to participate in community walk at Centennial Park.
Walk with your Doc, hosted by the White Rock/South Surrey Division of Family Practice, took place Friday, when several local doctors took to the track for a sunny stroll with patients from around the Peninsula.
The event was part of a province-wide effort celebrating the World Health Organization’s Move for Health Day, offering doctors the opportunity to discuss with their patients the health benefits of walking and to demonstrate a healthy lifestyle.
More than 70 Walk with your Doc events took place across B.C. last week.
