Around 100 people recognized International Women's Day Tuesday by gathering at Peace Arch Provincial Park.
The March 8 show of support was presented by SHE Financial, Soroptimist International of White Rock and South Fraser Women's Services Society as part of global campaign Join Me on the Bridge – an international movement started last year by Women for Women International.
TV personality Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson served as MC for the 5 p.m. event
Participants – encouraged to wear white clothing printed with messages of peace – were invited to an after-party at Grandview Corners restaurant ULounge.
