Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup turns 20

Cleanup events in White Rock and South Surrey on Sept. 21

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is ramping up to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year.

Held from Sept. 21-29, the cross-country cleanup with have stops in White Rock and South Surrey on Sept. 21.

Organized by the Vancouver Aquarium in partnership with the World Wildlife Federation, the cleanup brought 57,000 volunteers together from across Canada to remove litter from shorelines in 2012.
