Jane Sterk, leader of the Green Party of BC, will visit South Surrey this month and host an information meeting for area residents.
The Jan. 30 session is for people in Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley who are interested in asking questions of Sterk directly and learning about the party.
Those interested in becoming active at the local level are invited to stay for a subsequent organizing meeting, where there will be discussion on outreach options, including door-to-door and street canvassing strategies.
The event will be held at party chair Murray Weisenberger’s house, 12785 Crescent Rd., from 2 to 4 p.m.
