A South Surrey woman who took a run at representing Job’s Daughters at the international level narrowly missed the title during competition in Baltimore, Md., earlier this month.
Melissa Seselja, 20, was named first runner-up in the competition, which wrapped up Aug. 9.
The crown went to Wisconsin’s Emily Dyer.
Seselja had focused her sights on the international event after winning the B.C. title this past spring.
She has been a member of the Masonic-sponsored youth organization since age 11.
