oundation SurreyCares will be hosting its 2013 Grant Ceremony and Recognition Event Thursday at Semiahmoo House Society, 15306 24 Ave.
Funding recipients include Alexandra Neighbourhood House, Semiahmoo House and the Surrey Women’s Centre, among others.
Each of the 10 recipients of funds delegated by the foundation’s fundholders will give a presentation at the Nov. 21 event on how people in the community have benefitted as a result of the grants.
SurreyCares – an initiative of the Surrey Foundation – draws service agencies from the community together to create a network of non-profit organizations and societies, which collect funds to grant out to qualified agencies in Surrey.
The foundation fundholders include Darts Hill Garden Park, the Arts Council of Surrey and Coast Capital Youth.
