Semiahmoo Peninsula residents and their four-legged friends are invited to the annual Trek for Tourettes March 24 at Blackie Spit in Crescent Beach.
Hosted by the Vancouver Chapter of the Tourettes Syndrome Foundation of Canada, the fundraiser will begin at 2 p.m. and aims to raise awareness and support for the neurological disorder characterized by involuntary, rapid, sudden movements or vocalizations that occur repeatedly in the same way.
Those who plan to attend are asked to don green attire and bring along their dogs for the walk.
The goal for this year’s walk is to raise $190,000.
