White Rock firefighter Scott Booth inches the 1925 Studebaker he helped restore into the White Rock Museum and Archives.

It was a tight squeeze, but the original White Rock fire truck arrived at the White Rock Museum & Archives last week without a scratch.

The 1925 Studebaker was fully restored by White Rock firefighter Scott Booth, Booth’s father Ray and ‘Mac’ McIlwain – who was the city’s first fire chief – together with a crew from the teamsters freight and transportation museum.

The truck will be on display at the museum until spring 2012. Museum hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends
