In March, 16 students from Surrey's Elgin Park Secondary traded their spring break for shovels and cement, and took off for Nicaragua to build a school with Me to We (Free the Children).
Working in the tiny town of Los Campos, the students – and their teacher chaperones – laid the foundation for a badly needed Grade 2 classroom, in a community where children are currently forced to walk four kilometres to the nearest school.

They've been shared on YouTube and were also shared with his classmates' parents and families on Tuesday night, during an appreciation event and trip reunion at the Surrey school's library.
