Tayo Aluko performs brings the singer and political activist to life at Surrey City Hall on Nov. 25.

Centre Stage at City Hall (13450 104 Ave.) brings Tayo Aluko’s acclaimed Call Mr. Robeson: A Life, With Songs to Surrey, on Nov. 25 at 8 p.m.

With much fiery oratory and some of his famous songs, including a dramatic rendition of Ol’ Man River, Aluko revives the story of Paul Robeson, an impressive 20th century musical and political figure.
