Vivace is set to perform in White Rock Sept. 6.

Tickets are on sale now for a White Rock performance by the latest classical/pop crossover act.

Vivace, described as “a thrilling combination of four unique and exceptional singers,” will come to the Coast Capital Playhouse (1532 Johnston Rd.) on Friday, Sept. 6 (show at 7:30 p.m.).

Presented by Rob Warwick’s Rock.It Boy Entertainment, Vivace is an operatic pop quartet consisting of seasoned vocalists Melody Mercredi, Tiffany Desrosiers, Marc Devigne and D.J Calhoun.

Formed in 2010 for the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Vivace has since toured throughout Canada and the U.S.

The diversity of the group ranges from pop to arias and their own original material, but Vivace’s strength is that it is more than a collection of soloists.

What makes it a powerful and stirring experience is the rich and colourful sound showcased by such repertoire pieces as Nessun Dorma (from Turandot), The Face, Unchained Melody, Prayer In The Night and The World To Me.
