Earlier fundraisers for the Youth Arts Council of Surrey have included an Artist Garage Sale held at the Newton Cultural Centre in January of 2018 and 2019. This event has been replaced by an anonymous online show and sale now extended to Feb. 28. (Contributed photo)

There’s still a chance to buy a stunning, living-space enhancing, piece of art – and contribute to helping young artists in Surrey at the same time.

The Surrey Youth Arts Council’s (YACOS) online Anonymous Art show and sale has been held over until Feb. 28.

A fundraiser for promoting the arts among Surrey youth aged 13 to 21, the show features seven works each by three anonymous youth artists, with opportunity for online buyers to view, zoom in on, and purchase the pieces. Each work is priced at $100, of which half goes to the artist and half to YACOS.

The show, which opened on Jan. 15, was necessitated since the usual public fundraising show had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The works are viewable at http://artscouncilofsurrey.ca/yacos

Those who wish to purchase a piece can contact Surrey Arts Council at 604-594-2700 or email info@artscouncilofsurrey.ca

Mastercard, Visa, cash and cheques are accepted.
