Candidacy deadline for the May 9 provincial election was Tuesday.
Surrey’s four southmost ridings include no incumbents this time around, because of one new riding (Surrey South, which has attracted seven contenders), one retiring MLA and two incumbent MLAs changing ridings.

The Surrey Board of Trade, in partnership with the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, is holding a candidates business dialogue April 26 at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel (15269 104 Ave.) from 6-8 p.m., doors open at 5:30 p.m.
