Update: The missing 15-year-old girl has been located and is safe, Surrey RCMP announced Tuesday (Feb. 6) morning.

Surrey RCMP are asking for help locating a 15-year-old girl who was last seen in South Surrey.

According to a news release, she was reported missing on Sunday (Feb. 4).

She was last seen near Rosemary Heights Drive and 34 Avenue, wearing black-rimmed glasses, carrying a white-and-grey Mickey Mouse backpack and wearing white Adidas running shoes with black stripes.

She has not been seen or heard from since.

It’s believed the girl was heading to downtown Vancouver.

She’s described as a five-foot-five-inch Caucasian, with brown, curly, shoulder-length hair that is likely in a ponytail. She weighs approximately 170lbs.

Police and family are concerned for her health and well-being.
