Have personal documents that need shredding?

Save the date for Saturday, April 27, when White Rock RCMP Community Policing host their third annual Shred-A-Thon event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the White Rock RCMP Detachment (15299 Pacific Avenue).

Securely shredding personal information can help prevent fraud and private-document identity theft.

Although there is no set fee for the shredding service, volunteers at the drive-though event gratefully accept donations for Semiahmoo Community Safety Society, with funds earmarked to support local community safety initiatives.

Interested participants can show up at the laneway between the White Rock RCMP Detachment and White Rock City Hall, north of Pacific Avenue, between Fir and Centre streets, on April 27 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Volunteers will unload drivers’ vehicle for their documents to be securely shredded by an on-site shredding truck provided by Urban Impact Secure Shredding.

More details can be found on the City of White Rock’s website.
