Update: The 23-year-old man has been located and is safe, according to Surrey RCMP.

A young man from Surrey has been missing the last few days and police are appealing for the public’s help in locating him.

The 23-year-old was reported missing on Sunday (Dec. 24) after not being seen since Dec. 22 at about 3 p.m. in the 8200 block of King George Boulevard, according to a press release from Surrey RCMP.

“It is out of character for (the man) to be out of touch for this long and police and family are concerned for his health and well being,” Sgt. Chris De Hart wrote.

The man is of South Asian decent, is five-eight in height with a slim build and has a full beard, police describe. He was last seen wearing a black turban, brown pants, a black hoodie, white shoes and was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 23-209169.
