Car crashes into store front of Langley restaurant

Bollard, motorcycle, and store front damaged

One vehicle crashed into a North Langley restaurant early Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 21.

Around 12:45 p.m., the driver of a silver Honda CR-V drove over a parked motorcycle and bollard before crashing into the store front of Bubble World located in the mall at Walnut Grove Drive and 88th Avenue.

Local photographer Lois Phillips was in the area when the crash happened.

”I saw a bunch of people gathering and grabbed my camera,” she told the Langley Advance Times.

Lois said an ambulance and fire truck were briefly on scene.

“The driver appears to not be injured,” Phillips said.

Cpl. Zynal Sharoom with Langley RCMP said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators and remained on scene.

“It was purely accidental, no malicious intent, purely an accident,” Sharoom said.

He added that there are no injuries and the incident will go to ICBC claims.

Barry Li, owner of Bubble World, said the store will still remain open today for their regular hours until 11 p.m.
