Fraser Health is holding several drop-in flu shot clinics for the next month.
Influenza – or the flu – spreads very easily, and can cause serious complications or death in vulnerable people, including seniors, young children, or hospital and residential care patients.
Influenza can be spread for 24 hours before any symptoms appear, and health officials suggest that apart from washing hands regularly, an effective way to prevent the spread of influenza is by getting a flu shot.
Fraser Health is holding free clinics at:
• Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Clayton Hall, 18513 70 Ave.
• Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the South Surrey Recreation and Arts Centre, 14601 20 Ave.
• Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Cloverdale Recreation Centre, 6188 176 St.
• Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Clayton Hall.
