Surrey Mounties are asking the public to help identify two men.

The pair were caught on video during an attempted break and enter in Clayton Heights a few days ago.

The RCMP released two images and a video of the incident “in an effort to advance” the investigation.

Surrey Mounties first responded the attempted B&E on April 28 at about 11:30 a.m. at home on the 7200-block of 189th Street in Clayton.

“Two men attended the front door of the residence and used a breaking and entering tool as well as physical force in their attempt to gain entry,” Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha, RCMP media relations officer, noted in a press release. “They did not gain entry into the home and they fled from the property prior to police arriving on scene.”

Mounties made “extensive” patrols in the area to try to find the two suspects , but were unable to locate them.

“We believe this was a targeted, isolated incident and thankfully entry was not gained,” Sangha said. “This was a brazen daytime attempted break and enter into a home and we are sharing this image and video with the public in an effort to identify these two individuals.”

Sangha said the first suspect is described as “a black male, medium build and he was wearing a grey hoodie with insignia ‘X CORP’ at the front, black pants, black balaclava mask and black gloves.”

She said the second suspect is described as “a Caucasian male, medium build, black ‘Bench’ jacket with a hood, black pants, a black facemask and camo gloves.”

Surrey Mounties are asking anyone with info to please call them at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-59436.
