Police search for missing Surrey teen

Serena Vermeersch hasn't been seen since boarding a bus at 128 Street and 64 Avenue Monday night.

Surrey RCMP is asking the public for help locating a high-risk teen who hasn’t been seen or heard from since boarding a bus at 128 Street and 64 Avenue Monday night.

Family and police are concerned about Serena Vermeersch’s health and well-being, as it is out of character for the teen to be out of touch.

Vermeersch is described as a 17-year-old Asian female, with long, straight brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5’8″, weighs 135 lbs and was last seen wearing a blue tank top and black shorts.

Anyone with information on Vermeersch’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP Missing Persons Unit at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-8477; quote file #2014-133961.
