Surrey Mounties are investigating after a semi-trailer truck crashed into a traffic light standard in North Surrey on the weekend.
On Sunday (Feb. 19) at about 1 p.m., a semi, and a black pickup collided at 108 Avenue and 132 Street.
Only minor injuries were reported, but there was a significant diesel spill, requiring the Surrey Fire Department's Hazmat team to mop up.
The semi crashed into a traffic control pole causing it to teeter at a 45 degree angle.
The semi truck appeared to be owned by a driving school, however, it is not clear whether it was being driven by a student.
