White Rock RCMP say the owner of a diamond ring found more than four months ago in a Marine Drive parking lot has been located.
According to a news release issued Friday, the ring was turned over to police on Aug. 6, however, no one reported it missing in the months since.
“There is a lady out there missing a ring that could be very sentimental to her, we would love to get it back to her,” Const. Chantal Sears said in a news release.
Just before noon Tuesday – after Peace Arch News press deadline – Sears reported that the ring had been claimed, and issued a thanks to the Good Samaritan who turned it in.
Details of the ring's owner were not disclosed.
