Spirit, a Surrey Belgian shepherd is nursing knife wounds after a trespasser stabbed it several times.
On Monday (April 28) at about 7:30 p.m., someone wandered onto a residential property in the 12700-block of 58 Avenue and repeatedly stabbed the shepherd with what is believed to be a pocket knife.
The knife-wielding man ran off and has yet to be located.
He is described as being Caucasian, in his mid 20s, about 5'8" tall with dark hair and a medium build.
The dog is in serious condition, but is expected to survive.
