Police are concerned for the welfare of a missing Surrey woman who may be traveling with a suspect in a recent murder in

Burnaby.

On Sunday, Surrey RCMP asked for any information regarding the whereabouts of Kyonghee Kim, who was last heard from on Oct. 4 at home.

Now, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says Kim may actually be traveling with a suspect in a Burnaby homicide.

On Wednesday (Oct. 5) morning, police were called to the Cho Won Health Food Store in the 4500-block of North Road in Burnaby for a woman in medical distress.

When they arrived, they found the body of Hee Sook Youn, 59, in the store washroom.

IHIT is asking for public assistance in finding Pitt Meadows resident Youngku Youn (pictured left), who is wanted in connection with the homicide of his former wife.

He is described as 5’7″, 143 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

IHIT also believes Kim may be in his company. She was last seen driving her grey 2012 Hyundai Sonata, BC license plate 334 PXH northbound over the Golden Ears Bridge. That unoccupied car was found in Golden Ears Provincial Park in Maple Ridge on Oct. 8.

She is described as a 54 year-old Korean female, 5’3”, 115 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of her or Yuon, is asked to call 911, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
