The City of White Rock has received an application for a Zoning Bylaw Amendment and a Major Development Permit. The proposal involves rezoning the property from the ‘RS-3 One Unit (Small Lot, Hillside) Residential Zone’ to a property-specific Comprehensive Development (CD) Zone, modelled around the RS-3 zone standard. The rezoning, if approved, will enable the subdivision of the subject property from one lot into two lots, which would each be developed with a single-family dwelling. The Official Community Plan (OCP) defines single-family infill subdivisions, which create lots having a width of less than 12.1 metres, as “intensive residential development”. The application, as proposed, is “intensive residential redevelopment” and will accordingly require a Major Development Permit per the OCP policy.
The meeting is an open house format where city staff will be in attendance to introduce and monitor the meeting and to report back to Council on the feedback received.
