February 20, 1932 - August 24, 2018
Albert Roland Ezzy, 86, loving husband of Pat Ezzy, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 in White Rock, BC.

Albert Ezzy was born February 2, 1932, in Vancouver to his mother Crema and father, Albert Karl Ezzy. He attended Vancouver College, Gonzaga University and graduated in 1956 with a commerce degree from UBC. During his school years he loved sports and had a special passion for football at which he excelled. After graduating from UBC, Albert worked for Standard General Construction, Eaton's Department Stores, and Bata Shoes. Albert realized his passion for road construction and in 1967 took a position with Macphail's Construction. Within a couple of years, he had moved to Jack Cewe Ltd as Sales Manager specializing in roller compacted concrete where he worked until his retirement in 1999.

Albert found great joy in both his work and home life and loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed afternoon naps in the sun, work in the garden, travel, long walks and all things culinary. On a perfect evening you could find Al surrounded by loved ones, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno blaring in the background, a bowl of ice cream in hand and a glint of mischief in his eyes. We are sure he is now enjoying a noisy and warm hearted reunion with his parents, all his old buddies and grandson Jordan.

For those of us left behind, Albert will be greatly missed by his wife Pat, his sisters Lorraine Rushton and Lois Carlisle, as well as his sons Robert and David; his five grandchildren Tyler, Graham, Hayden, Chelsea and Anna; and, his great grandchild Edward. Al was also a beloved stepfather to Pat's children, Leora Shipley and Bryun Harver and Grandpa to their children, Nathan, Jason, Ronin and Owen. His entire family and all his friends will greatly miss his colorful personality, generous spirit, humour and warmth. We know Al will continue to guide us through life's challenges and will always point us in the direction of ice cream!

A special thank you to the staff at The Terraces at Evergreen Baptist Campus of Care who made Al's final chapter one of compassion and dignity.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 2 pm at Langley Golf and Banquet Centre at 21550 44 Ave, Langley, BC.

Al's body, at his request, has been contributed to the University of British Columbia for the advancement of medicine through anatomical study. In this same spirit we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations in his name be made to the UBC Anatomical Sciences Research Endowment Fund or to the Parkinson's Society British Columbia - Research.
