Alison Strang, a former Surrey resident, died peacefully last Wednesday, March 21, surrounded by her family.

Alison was a world-renowned expert, breeder, judge, and author on the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She also worked for many years in the White Rock library.

Alison is survived by Roy, her husband of 63 years, her children Elspeth (Will), Hilary (Craig), Alistair (Wendi), Rob (Stephanie), and Catriona (Francois), and her sister, Janet, and her beloved grandchildren, Molly, Eliza, Ian, Kate, Alex, Emma, Thomas, Kiel, Talia, Nina, and Felix; she was predeceased by one beautiful granddaughter, Elin. She leaves behind an extended family of treasured friends and students.

Alison's Memorial Service will be on Saturday, April 21 at 2 pm at St. John's Presbyterian Church in White Rock.

The family requests donations to Critter Care, Grandmothers to Grandmothers, or a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
