Anastasia Shade, died at 5:45 pm, Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022 in White Rock, BC. Anastasia was born in St. Vincent, in The Grenadines. Married to Casper Shade, former Honorary Counsel for the Government of Grenada, representative to Canada it resulted in 2 children, Rhonda and Remy.
Anastasia was a stunningly beautiful child and woman, follower of god, funny, with a caring spirit who believed the good in people even if they were undeserving. As a young woman she worked in Trinidad and England with the government.
After caring for her oldest child, she was inspired to become a registered nurse. As a nurse she cared deeply for her patients and others, specializing in geriatrics, recognizing the importance of caring for the elderly with respect.
Anastasia fully gave of herself putting family first while saving the life of her older daughter as a young child, over a 10-year period, while also caring for a 2nd daughter who has bee disabled for years. She displayed a selfless loving commitment to family that instilled her older daughter to do the same from her 20's to help and care for her sister and parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda and Remy plus hundreds of relatives all over the world.
Her siblings some alive or deceased are Catherine, Agnes, Edris, Louise, Inkoman, Amos, Clem, John, Venley, Theophilus, Saralyn and Lenard.
She was preceded in death by parents Alexander and Eliza.
Anastasia roots is in the Caribbean and as per her request to take her home, it will be honoured. Ashes will be spread in the sea in her place of birth and services will be held at Christ Anglican Church in Carriacou, Grenada where remaining ashes will be buried. In loving memory of Anastasia, her family and friends will miss her immensely, and she will forever remain in our hearts.
