HOLTBY, Arthur Wilbur (Bill). June 4, 1918 - February 3, 2012. Bill passed away peacefully at Morgan Place, Surrey, BC, with his 2 daughters by his side. Bill will be greatly missed by his loving family: his daughters Carole and her husband Ken of Priddis, AB and Georgia, of Surrey, BC., his devoted grandchildren and their families, Kerry and Andrea (Jessica, Owen, and Drew), Brett and Kara (Tyler and Ella), Jim and Jody (Madison, Miller and a baby girl to arrive later this month), Lorrenne and Jody (Zia, Annise, Mabel and Abner), his two sisters, Kay and Jean and his sister-in-law, Ruth. In 1999, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, the love of his life. Bill was so very proud of all of his grandchildren and greatly delighted in his 11 great grandchildren. The associations through his years of working in the hospital in Melfort and Moose Jaw, SK, and his friendships made in the Rotary Club brought much fulfillment to his life. The family would like to thank all his friends for their love and concern during his illness. We would also like to send a special thank you to all the staff on the Cobden Unit at Morgan Place for their loving and compassionate care. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Avenue, South Surrey, on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to Prostate Cancer, at VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation, 855 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 1M9, or a charity of your choice.
