Born in Vancouver, B.C. May 24th, 1938; passed away in Peace Arch Hospital January 8th, 2004. Predeceased by his beloved parents, Minter and Emma Newcombe; sons Ricky Allen and Glen Jonathon. His memory is cherished by his surviving loving family; wife Shirley; son Little Ben (Melanie) of Red Deer, AB; stepchildren Dawnoleen (Dan) and Byron (Lisa) of S. Surrey; brothers Ken (Georgina) of Boston Bar, and Len of Campbell River; sister Marie of Vancouver. Also remembered by many friends and relatives. A longtime Vancouver Parks Board employee, Ben's life will be celebrated Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831-28th Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to Children's Hospital and the Diabetes Foundation will be appreciated. He will be loved, remembered and will remain in our hearts forever.
