September 8, 1923 - December 3, 2005
Betty passed away peacefully on December 3, 2005 at Peace Arch Hospital.
She is survived by her sister Marjorie Scott, niece Marilyn Intile, nephew Ron Camp and a very close extended family including Rob, Ron, Adam, George, Sheila, Jackie and Trevor.
Betty was born in Innisfail, Alberta and moved to Calgary where she worked for Bruce Robinson Electric and the Calgary School Board.
In 1966 she moved to Vancouver and then to Ocean Park to be close to her sister, family and friends.
Betty epitomized being happy with the simple things in life - a good mystery novel, baking memorable treats for all occasions and enjoying the companionship of her pets.
She was a joy to be around and no matter what the situation she could always use her quick Gordon wit to see the bright side and make people feel better.
Over the years, a highlight for Betty was always the annual trip with the "Good Old Girls" - Betty, Marj, Gwynne, Dorothy, Verna, Elaine, Peg and Norma.
Best known as "Aunt" to many of her family and friends, Betty had a friendly positive influence on everyone she met.
She was a second mother to her nieces and nephew and has left a lasting, loving impression on all those who knew her well.

To recognize Betty's love of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local chapter of the SPCA.
