Bonnie, beloved daughter of Samuel and Ruth Thurston died peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2003 from pneumonia. The nurses at I.C.U. were doing everything possible to help her breathe. Her bereaved parents are having a terrible time trying to cope with the loss of dear Bonnie. She was so precious to them and they lovingly cared for her at home for the last 9 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing besides her loving parents, her brother Bruce who lives with his wife Fran Feuer at Gillies Bay on Texada Island, her grandmother; Grace Grant who is 101 and living at Eden Care Home in Chilliwack. She also has two aunties; Mrs. Louise Barkwell from North Delta and Mrs. Elizabeth Vasseur from Richmond, she also has a cousin; Mrs. Gloria Westgate and another cousin; David Dunbar. Several of her aunts, uncles and cousins live in Ontario, but they all mourn Bonnie's passing.
She was born on April 12, 1953 and was working very hard at getting her PhD in philosophy that she didn't eat properly. She was married on August 3, 1985 and she was given a job teaching at U.B.C. But she collapsed on October 4, 1985 with multiple sclerosis. The funeral was held on Wednesday, November 12, 2003. Anyone who knew Bonnie may make a small donation to the M.S.
