They also had 6 grandchildren, Scott (Cindy) Stakiw of Bracebridge, Ont., Jason Stakiw (predeceased in 1984) of Red Deer, AB, Shauna Ross of Surrey, BC, Michelle (Max) Blair of Langley, BC, Ryan (Adriana) Gerlinsky of Surrey, BC, and Courtney Gerlinsky of Calgary, AB, as well as 11 great grandchildren.

Cliff joined the RCAF in 1941 and spent 25 years as a firefighter before (semi) retiring in 1968 to Rocky Mountain House. There he worked for many years at the prison in Nordegg as a medic/guard.
He and Norma eventually settled in White Rock, BC in November of 2002 to be closer to family and escape the snowy winters. After Norma's passing, he continued to enjoy weekly dance events at Sunnyside Manor with his daughters for many years. Cliff was a lifelong member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and he enjoyed dancing to old-time music all of his life.
He was a meticulous planner and a hard worker, but also knew how to enjoy life. Especially in the later years, he was dedicated to making many happy memories with family. His grandchildren speak often of the epic Christmases at the family home in Rocky Mountain House. He will be very missed by all whose lives he touched.
There will be a celebration of life in the spring at the Royal Canadian Legion in White Rock, the date and time to be announced at a later date.
