Cliff Annable, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on March 5th, 2019. He leaves behind his "bestus" friend Maureen, son Shawn (Clarice), daughter Janet (Daniel), two grandchildren Liam and Lauren, three sisters, Diane (Doug), Jennifer (Brian) and Barbara (Randy), five nephews and one niece.

Cliff was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and lived his early years in Saskatoon. He moved to Winnipeg after graduation, where he met Maureen and they were married in 1970. His many early careers included an air traffic controller, airline employee, and owner of a dry-cleaning and laundromat business. He moved to White Rock in 1987 and was highly involved in minor hockey.

Cliff was an active member of the Semiahmoo Rotary Club, serving as President in 2009-2010. He helped raise funds to build, and ultimately ran, the Rotary Fieldhouse. He served on the White Rock City Council from 2003-2005 and had just retired as Executive Director of the SSWR Chamber of Commerce.

Cliff served on many community organizations and was honoured by the City of White Rock as an Outstanding Canadian on the Peninsula in 2018. He owned the South Surrey Eagles hockey team for 8 years, who won the Royal Bank Cup in 1998. Cliff will be long-remembered by the community, as he loved people and was always interested in their lives and sharing stories.
