It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Doreen, at Peace Arch Hospital, with her son Terry by her side.
Predeceased by her husband Thomas Winters, infant son Ricky, father Herbert Sollitt, mother Gerda Sollitt, brothers Gordon Sollitt and Gary Sollitt, sister Dorothy Townsend. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Doris Blair (Clarence), Dolores Opper (William), children Donna Watson (Jim), Barry Winters (Julie), Terry Winters (Lisa) and grandchildren Kimberly, David, Fred (Shanti), Hayley, Eric and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Edmonton Alberta, Doreen moved several times between there and Vancouver, B.C. She resided for the last 35 years in her cherished home in South Surrey, B.C. and the last 5 months at Peace Portal Seniors Village. Doreen worked for many years at Woodwards Department Store and as a cosmetician at several drug stores. She was a hard worker and respected by her customers and coworkers. She loved to travel, collect antiques, knit, sew and garden (especially roses). She was happiest when surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life is being planned for August.
