Doreen Moscrip

Doreen passed away peacefully at Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, BC in her 86th year. She was predeceased by her son, Ken Moscrip and her husband Stuart Moscrip. She is survived by and remembered by her four children, nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Doreen fulfilled her life with her love of music, dancing and entertaining. She was always happy with company around. She took great pride in decorating and hosting large dinner events. In her earlier years she and her husband traveled around BC and AB with their square dancing group, creating many friendships and enjoying many new adventures. They then began travelling to Hawaii where they spent many winters. Doreen was a docent at the Iolani Palace for over 20 years. She was always trying to learn new skills and try new things. She loved to play her ukulele and hula dance. Most will remember Doreen with her many Hawaiian verses, she loved to share and teach them to all those she met. As she would say: “Mahalo, A hui hou, Malma Pono E pili mau na pomaika`i ia `oe” Thank-you, Good bye until we meet again, may every blessing be with you.
