Elaine Agnes Tardt passed away peacefully on Saturday April 6, 2019 at the age of 80 with her family at her side.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Audrey (Garry) and nephews Doug (Roxanne) and Michael (Leslee). Elaine was predeceased by her parents Bjorn and Elna Bjornson and husband Chuck Hill.
Elaine was born January 15, 1939 in Mont Nebo, Saskatchewan. She grew up in Smeaton,
Saskatchewan attending school from grade 1 to 12. Elaine completed her nurses training in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and had her first nursing job in Uranium City, Saskatchewan. Her next job took her to Stewart, B.C. and she then furthered her nurses training at the University of British Columbia. Elaine became a head nurse in Edmonton, Alberta. Later she moved to White Rock, B.C. and worked in a seniors facility.
Elaine met her husband Chuck Hill and they lived together in Surrey, B.C. for 24 years. Elaine spent her last months at Westminster House in Surrey. The family would like to thank Dr. Kegel and the nursing staff at Westminster House for their care. A special thank you to Penny Hamilton, the world is a better place because of people like you.
The funeral service will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey on Thursday April 18 at 2 pm.
