Ernest Edward Frederick
In loving memory of Ernie who passed away October 6,2016 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 80 years. He was born in Winnipeg on March 23, 1936, and spent his childhood and completed his education there. He was proud of his service in the RCAF Reserve and loved his 25 year career as an Air Traffic Controller at the Lakehead, Frobisher Bay NWT, Toronto and Winnipeg. After retiring, he relocated to BC and owed 3 travel agencies. He had a smile and warm hello for everyone he met and had a great sense of humour.
Ernie was predeceased by his parents Betty and Otto, and siblings Leonard, Hilma, Edith & Victor. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Diane of 44 years, our children Dinos, Alan (Patsy), Eric, Susan (Brian), Michael, and Jeffrey (Sandra) as well as grandchildren Elicia, Melina, Justin, Summer, Ashley, Asia and other family & friends.
Our sincerest thanks to the dedicated caregivers at Czorny Alzheimer Centre who guided and cared for him on his journey. A celebration of Ernie's life will be held at a later date.
