George passed away peacefully in his own home and in his favourite chair.
Predeceased by his wife Ann Robertson, sister Lynn East and step-son James Hignell, George was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle with a love for his family, the outdoors, fishing, gardening, playing Bridge and having coffee at Tim Hortons!
George led his life to the fullest, overcoming obstacles and teaching us what it means to persevere and work hard.
A British Columbia Land Surveyor by profession, George loved being outside and spent much of his career in Richmond, working with Progressive Contracting Ltd.
In retirement, George was a frequent volunteer at the local senior's community centre and the Provincial and Federal Polling stations. This was very important to him, and one of the many ways that he gave back to his community.
We are so grateful for his love, care and support over the years. George was "one of a kind"; a very special man who will be deeply missed. Rest easy George, we love you.
