REEFSCHLAEGER, Gerry It is with much sadness and a sense of peace that we announce the sudden passing of a dear husband and father, Gerry Reefschlaeger, on May 11, 2004. Gerry was born in Germany on March 15, 1945 and came to Canada in 1963. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Judy and sons Rob (Monique) and Ryan (Renee); his parents Ernst and Aina Reefschlaeger; his sister Britta Miller (Ron) and brother Arno (Sandra); brothers-in-law David Janke (Elisabeth) and Mike Gabrielson; many nieces and nephews and close and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister Annelie in 2002. Along with his partner Otto Froelich, they developed Peace Portal Lodge in 1987, and later they teamed with Dave Aune and presently own and operate Northcrest Care Centre in Delta. Gerry had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed life to the fullest. His family and Christian faith were his top priorities. A Celebration of Gerry's life was held Friday May 14, 2004 at Peace Portal Alliance Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse for missions projects in Cambodia.
