Glen Leslie Wilton
It is with great sadness that the family of Glyn Leslie Wilton announces his passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday October 18th, 2016, on his 70th birthday. Glyn will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Dilys Wilton, Janice (Ron) Hull, Sandy (Percy) Darbyson and brother Gareth (Maureen) Wilton. He will also be remembered by his nephews, Steven (Mariska), Jeffrey (Kristen), Mark, and nieces, Tanya, Andrea (Tremayne), Tiffany (Geoff), and his great nephews and nieces Hannah, Tijn, Dacen, Mila, Connor and Blake. Glyn was born and raised in Haney (Maple Ridge) and attended Maple Ridge Elementary School and then Maple Ridge High School. He continued his education at UBC where he studied for a BA in English. He graduated and went to work for Dominion Bridge in Vancouver and then moved to Calgary where he spent 14 years before returning to Vancouver in 1989. He worked in Vancouver in leasing until the leasing company was closed. He then went to work for West Coast Duty Free, where he continued until early October. He enjoyed his time there and made many friends. Glyn loved his art, his music and his camping trips. He travelled to the UK and to Europe several times in the last few years with his sisters, one who lives in North Wales. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pitt Meadows Golf Course on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at 1PM until 3.30PM. A light buffet will be served. Address 13615 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows V3Y2R8
