Cornfield, Gordon Hugh James
April 12, 1920 - November 22, 2008
Gordon passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital. Born and raised in Vancouver he worked at Boeing in Richmond during the Second World War and following had a career as a clothier, as did his father before him. Gordon worked at Woodward's in downtown Vancouver for 35 years until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by Vergie, his wife of 63 years, daughters; Barbara (Bruce) and Betty (Bob), grandchildren; Sandra (Mike), Leanne (Greg), Kirsten (Michelle), Geoff, Chris (Laura) and David, great grandchildren; Lucas, Joshua and Jacob and niece Beverley LeSage (Cornfield). Predeceased by his father William Samuel Cornfield, mother Euphemia Johnston (Dick), and his brother William Dick Cornfield. A special thank you to the nursing staff at Peace Arch Hospital for their care. A memorial service was held at White Rock Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 25th.
