SCHMIDT, Hans G. 1929 - 2015
The family of Hans G. Schmidt wish to announce his passing at 86 years of age, on Wednesday, September 16th 2015 at 10:45 pm. Hans was born in Frankfurt, Germany on Feb. 9th, 1929. He passed away peacefully with family by his side. He was a loving, caring man who had a great interest in hiking, travelling, reading, gardening, cooking, history, outdoor activities and nature. He was deeply loved and had a sense of humour that will be truly missed by his family and friends. Hans is survived by his wife Ursula of 65 years; children Arno (Susanne), Elvi (Dan), Jane (Philip) grandchildren Monica, Thomas (Ania), Leona (Andrew), Mark and Sean, great-grandchildren Devon, Tommy, Theodore and extended family members. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Peace Arch Hospital and Hospice and the BC Cancer Agency at Surrey Memorial Hospital for attending to Hans' and the family's needs over the past few months.
